2014′s Winter Olympics has seen Team GB have its most successful winter campaign since 1924. As well as medals for Lizzy Yarnold in the women’s skeleton event and Jenny Jones for snowboarding the curlers were also victorious with the men winning a silver medal and the women bronze.
Curling is certainly a popular sport in Perthshire with women’s skip, Eve Muirhead herself from Blair Atholl. Dewars Centre in Perth is just 15 minutes away from Fernbank and offers a state-of-the-art curling ice rink and is open to beginners and experienced curlers. With international competitions, Dewars attracts the best players from all around the world. Dewars hosts the Scottish National Curling Championships & the Mecrure Perth Masters International Curling Championship.
